A DIAGNOSTIC APPROACH TO PAIN MEDICINE

Treatment begins with understanding the source of pain.

Dr. Joshua Hardy is a board-certified anesthesiologist and fellowship-trained interventional pain physician practicing in Las Vegas.

Dr. Hardy earned his medical degree from Georgetown University School of Medicine. He completed his residency in anesthesiology at Virginia Mason Medical Center in Seattle, followed by fellowship training in Pain Medicine at Stanford University.

His approach to pain management centers on identifying the underlying source of pain developing an individualized treatment plan for each patient. Treatment may range from conservative management and medication optimization to image-guided procedures and advanced interventional therapies, depending on the patient's diagnosis, goals, and previous treatments.

Pain is complex, and the same symptom can arise from very different conditions. Dr. Hardy believes effective care begins with a thoughtful history, physical examination, review of imaging when appropriate, and careful consideration of treatments already attempted. His goal is to help patients better understand the cause of their pain and provide a clear, personalized path toward improved function and quality of life.

Outside of medicine, Dr. Hardy enjoys spending time with his wife and four daughters, wake surfing, road and mountain biking, and serving in his church and local community.

APPROACH TO CARE

Care designed around the individual patient.

When conservative care is appropriate, it remains an important part of treatment. When an intervention is indicated, the focus is on precise, image-guided care directed toward the suspected source of pain.
